Each year, Christmas Carol Services are held across the world in honour of seafarers; recognising the many that will spend the festival season working, sometimes in cold and hostile conditions separated from their families, friends and loved ones.
Holding a Christmas Carol Service in aid of The Mission to Seafarers is a seasonal and beautiful way to celebrate the season of Advent whilst also raising money for a very worthy cause.
Recognising the Contribution of Seafarers
While we are busy buying presents, seafarers are working hard to supplying us with all the things we need. As we relax with family and loved ones, they are far away from home sometimes in hostile and cold conditions making a sacrifice for the benefit of us all.
Holding a Christmas Carol Service will not only raise the spirits of those who attend, but it will also raise the spirits of seafarers who will benefit from your generosity and thoughtfulness. It will ensure that seafarers, whose work is at the very heart of our economy, are not forgotten at this special time of year.
