Alex, 51 , born in Peterborough, U.K., lived at sea but found his homes in Scotland, Philippines and in Singapore finally succumbed to cancer surrounded by his family.
Alex is survived by his wife Catherine of 22 years, daughter Chloe, son Adam, parents Robert and Lesley, brother Ross.
Alex was a devoted father, husband and a friend to everyone. He was an enthusiastic urban cyclist, a rubbish golfer, an amazing cook and a talented artist.
He has touched the lives of so many with his generosity and kindness. He will be forever missed.
