I look forward to working with Andrew Wright, Tom Boardley and the experienced and professional team of trustees, senior managers, staff and volunteers around the world to further the aims of the charity and help so many more seafarers and their families.”
The Mission to Seafarers Chairman Tom Boardley said on the appointment, “Jan is an excellent fundraiser, with a proven track record and is well regarded within the shipping industry. Her knowledge, experience and obvious passion for seafarers’ welfare meant she was the standout candidate to lead The Mission to Seafarers development function. I very much look forward to working with Jan and the rest of the Mission’s development team in the months and years ahead. “
Jan says what drives her is seeing the impact the Mission makes on the everyday lives of seafarers and their families and the pivotal role fundraising and marketing play in making this happen.
Jan said, “I am excited about the future and am ready to embrace the challenges that lie ahead. It’s great to be back in the industry where I have made so many friends.”
