Knitting hats, gloves and scarves for seafarers is a long held tradition with MtS supporters. Each day, we receive bundles of homemade woolly items which we supply to seafarers around the world.
Woolly Hat Day is a celebration of all things knitted! It is a day when our knitters remember, with special fondness, all the seafarers who will benefit from their efforts.
It is also a time to get together with friends to share stories, woolly hat knitting patterns and celebrate your unique contribution to our work.
This year, Woolly Hat Day falls on Friday 11 October. Why not organise a special event on that day like a coffee morning, event at your parish or knit-a-thon. There are many ways to help raise awareness of the work of MtS and maybe raise a little money for our work with seafarers too.
